Apostrophe-A  punctuation mark  (')used to indicate either, possession, omission or how to make something plural is called apostrophe. Rules of apostrophe Rule1- the apostrophe is used with living noun to show its possession. Example -Mohan's book was stolen. John's laptop is very costly. Rule 2 -We can use an apostrophe with a non-living that is personified. Example-Sun's fury, mirror's dream, Earth's love.  Personification- it's the way to represent an object or feeling as if it is a person, basically, personification is done in the poem.   Rule 3 -Add apostrophe at the last of the plural noun which ends with s. The writers' novel, the girls' wardrobe.  Rule 4-Never use apostrophe with the possessive case.
